Rahul Gandhi on his Chennai visit met three thousand college girls of the Stella Maris institution and its no exaggeration that he won more than a few hearts with his attitude. He first made a connection to the younger generation by requesting them to call him Rahul and not Sir which brought thunderous applause.

One of the girls Lakshmi Menon posed a delicate question to the Congress chief regarding why he did not name his own brother in law Robert Vadra among the corrupt people of India. Rahul Gandhi took it with a grim face and in the usual politician's style answered it by piling charges against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Anil Ambani for their alleged involvement in the Rafale deal. He then at the end of reading his charge sheet dwelled briefly on Vadra stating that the law has a right to investigate on anyone but do it fairly.

While the Stella Maris meet would definitely score brownie points for RG the most noticeable aspect of the proceedings is that none of the questions from the college students were pertaining to Tamil Nadu such as NEET, Kaveri issue, Sterlite issue and others.
