Rahul Gandhi sparks row after meeting Christian pastor

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has been accused by the BJP of hobnobbing with an alleged Hinduism-hating Christian pastor. The row started after a video clip during the Wayanad MP's Bharat Jodo Yatra came to light. In the video, RaGa is seen sitting with a group of Christian preachers. A pastor named George Ponnaiah is heard saying that Jesus Christ is the only God unlike Shakti and other Gods. His remarks have been seen as an insult to Hinduism, as only Jesus is being promoted as the true God.
The BJP today said that George Ponnaiah was once arrested for his "Hindu hatred". He also made statements against Bharat Mata, allegedly. “I wear shoes because impurities of Bharat Mata should not contaminate us," the pastor has been quoted as saying in the past.
The ruling party is of the view that RaGa is seeking to break India rather than unite the countrymen. BJP leader Sambit Patra reminded that Congress has in the past asked for proof that Lord Rama existed. He suggested that Congress leaders like RaGa and Sonia Gandhi hate Hinduism.
Is this “Bharat Jodo”?
