Rahul Gandhi has on Wednesday penned a long open letter hours after quitting as the President of the Congress party.
In his letter, the outgoing chief said that he was asked by his party leaders to nominate the next President but he refused to do so. "While it is important for someone to lead the party, it would not be correct for me to select that person," RaGa said, adding that he takes full responsibility for the 2019 debacle.
His advice to the Congress Working Committee is to set up a group of persons who will be entrusted with the responsibility to search for a new President.
In his letter, RaGa added that "every cell in his body" is opposed to the idea of India that the BJP espouses. He also attacked the RSS for allegedly capturing all the institutions in the country.
