Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday night gave an appointment to Pa. Ranjith, the Kollywood filmmaker of Rajinikanth's last two films. "I met film director PA Ranjith, the man behind blockbuster films like 'Madras', 'Kabali' and 'Kaala', and actor Kalaiyarasan, in Delhi yesterday. We talked about politics, films and society. I enjoyed the interaction and look forward to continuing our dialogue," the Congress President tweeted out later.

It's one thing to hear journalists and small-time politicians use words like blockbusters even for flops. But it's another for a Rahul Gandhi to use the word for duds like 'Kaala'.

Post the meeting, Ranjith said that he is looking forward for the materialization of what they discussed. "An important meeting with @RahulGandhi about politics & art.
