A less-known Bollywood director, named Rupesh Paul, is making a biopic on Rahul Gandhi. He has previously made 'Kamasutra 3D', which is yet to see the light of the day. The Rahul biopic is titled 'My Name Is RaGa'. Its first look teaser was recently out and, at about 4 minutes, it shows the film's essence. Rahul is played by an actor named Ashwini Kumar.
The film begins with telling the story of the Congress chief right since his childhood. He played in Indira Gandhi's lap, he played in Rajiv Gandhi's lap. He went through phases of depression after his beloved grandma and father were assassinated.
After he took up full-time politics, RaGa faced ridicule because of his bumbling ways. In one of the shots in the Teaser, he and Sonia Gandhi are seen watching the rise of Narendra Modi (played by Himant Kapadiya) on the national arena in 2013-14.
The teaser also sees a woman coming and telling Rahul that he likes her because of the mature way in which he owns his haters. At this, the PM aspirant winks - an act he has (in)famously aced in Lok Sabha in recent past.
Someone has opined that whoever made 'My Name Is RaGa' is not a friend of Congress. We can't agree more.
