Actor Rahman is hoping for a better showing in his second innings.

Though he acted in prominent roles in several Tamil and Malayalam movies, the actor lost his way in between and disappeared without any trace.

Thanks to director Ameer, he resurfaced playing a tough cop in Raam.

The actor, whose talent was brought to the hilt by K Balachander in Pudhu Pudhu Arthangal, is now acting in a dreaded gangster's role in Thoothukudi.

His character of Lingam is the South version of Ashoka Chakravarthy in the film.

Rahman says, 'my role is well etched, It is very powerful and I immediately accepted to do it soon after it was narrated to me. It will surely take me to great heights'.
