Thursday marked the conclusion of the Kakinada Beach Festival and AR Rahman was the biggest crowd-puller. The town literally came to a halt for enjoying the music of the Mozart of Madras. As per a news report, many schools declared a holiday, at least post afternoon.
Rahman performed the timeless 'Musthafa Musthafa' number to the spectator's delight. "To all the 200,000 Kakinada music lovers. Thank you for coming and honouring us with your presence and love. You have made tonight an unforgettable night! Thanks to all the Government officials who made this an amazing success!" he said on Facebook.
The state's Deputy Chief Minister, among others, oversaw the arrangements.
