Very early in the career the tall and talented of course looking beautiful Ragini is playing the cop role in a film that titled as 'Ragini IPS' by producer K Manju in the direction of action and art film director Anand P Raju.

On the birthday of actress Ragini at Kanteerava studios on Thursday her senior colleague Malashri was present to sound the clap board. Malashri like Vijayashanthi in Telugu set a trend for women cop roles in Kannada cinema. Ragini is following her colleague in 'Ragini IPS'.

I was against to giving the divine names of Kali, Durga etc for this IPS role I am playing. I wanted everything look natural from the title. No one can be a God says Ragini in Khaki uniform. Interesting is that on Friday her film 'Villain' is releasing and her counterpart in the film Adhitya's 'Khaki' is launching at Menaka theatre for the same producer and director of 'Villain'.

Ragini cutting the cake, attending the muhurut shot came back to speak to the media persons with producer K Manju, director Anand P Raju, music director Emil and cameraman Nandakumar.

I am qualified in Taekwondo and learning film stunts is easy. In the last one month I have learnt the tricks of film fights with Mass Madha. I am taking part in five action scenes. It will be natural ones. I am doing what a human being can do. Running faster than car and super human activities will not be there says Ragini who appeared to be very circumspect in her maiden cop role.

Director Anand Raju P is in his 21st direction. He has set the Hubli background for this film based on the real life incident for the story. I don't want to reveal it because of the danger of someone copying it says Anand P Raju. He is shooting 45 days for this film and wants to see the light of the film in 90 days time.

Emil is scoring music for four songs, Nandakumar of Jogaiah fame is the man behind camera.

Producer K Manju is very confident that actress Ragini would scale new heights after this film. I urge before Ragini that she should not hike the remuneration in excess. The remuneration of artists today is the major chunk of investment rather than putting on the making of the film says K Manju.
