Actor, Director and dance choreographer Raghava Lawrence had delivered one of the biggest hits of 2019, with this year's summer release Kanchana 3/ Muni 4, the fourth part of his Muni horror comedy series. The movie had him in dual roles, besides also starring Vedhika, Oviya and Nikki Tamboli.

After this movie, the director had been signed to direct the Bollywood movie Laxmmi Bomb, the official remake of his 2011 superhit Kanchana, and this marks his entry in Bollywood. There were initial issues after the director felt being disrespected and after talks, Lawrence returned as the director.

Now it has been made official that Laxmmi Bomb will be releasing worldwide on June 5, 2020. Laxmmi Bomb will have Akshay Kumar reprising the role played by Raghava Lawrence in the original, while Kiara Advani plays the female lead, playing the role played by Raai Laxmi in Kanchana.
