Director and Actor Raghava Lawrence had last week created a massive impact and earned praises from people in the film industry as well as public, as he announced a donation of Rs 3 crores as his contribution for corona relief activities.

Besides this 3 crores, the actor had also tweeted on Saturday that as he was receiving numerous calls from fighters, assistant directors and many others to extend his help, he had discussed with auditors and that he'll announce few more plans to help people on April 14.

Now with TN govt imposing a strong ban on NGOs donating or distributing money/ relief materials, essentials to people, Raghava Lawrence had posted a tweet requesting the government to reconsider its decision. He has stated that just now he had planned to organise various welfare activities with Govt support to help people, and there are many kind hearted people who are really willing to help. He has requested govt to revoke the ban and instead use police forces to channel the distribution of essentials through NGOs strictly. Praising TN govt activities to fight corona, Lawrence has also mentioned that it is practically not possible for govt itself to reach every section of the society and that is the reality.
