Director Raghava Lawrence will be making his Bollywood debut with the horror comedy Laxmmi Bomb starring Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani in lead roles, and it had been announced before few months that the movie will have a direct OTT release.

While initially Laxmmi Bomb was planned to be premiered on Disney Plus Hotstar on September 9, on eve of Akshay Kumar's birthday, the release was postponed and now the official release date has been announced.

It has been made official that Laxmmi Bomb will release on Disney Plus Hotstar on November 9, on occasion of Diwali festival. Laxmmi Bomb is the official remake of Raghava Lawrence's 2011 summer superhit Kanchana - Muni 2.
