Director Raghava Lawrence is all set to make his Bollywood debut with the upcoming movie Laxmmi Bomb starring Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani in lead roles, and recently it was announced that the movie will have a direct OTT release.

It was expected that Laxmmi Bomb will premiere on Disney Plus Hotstar on September 9, on eve of Akshay Kumar's birthday. However in a major change of plans it has been revealed that the movie is taken off from the OTT release schedule and that the makers are cancelling direct OTT release.

It has further been added that team Laxmmi Bomb is planning a joint theatrical release and OTT release as it's a big budget movie starring a top hero, and an official release update on Laxmmi Bomb is expected soon. Laxmmi Bomb is the remake of Raghava Lawrence's 2011 summer superhit horror comedy Kanchana - Muni 2.
