Its been a year since the historic Jallikattu protest took place at the Chennai Marina where millions gathered to fight for identity and succeeded in rescuing the heritage sport through a law amendment.  Raghava Lawrence who took active part in the protests has gifted a newly built house to the family of one Yogeshwaran who reportedly died during the event.

Lawrence has stated that on the funeral he had promised the mother of Yogeshwaran that he will be in his son's place and fulfill the dream of the boy to build a house for his family.  The 'Kanchana3' hero downplays his touching gesture by saying its not a help but his duty.
