Choreographer-director-actor Raghava Lawrence has not just been doing films, but has also been taking an active part in various social causes.
On account of International Transgender Day of Visibility, the actor yesterday partook in an event for transgenders, during which he announced that he will offer his help for the third gender in his own way.
Raghava highlighted that transgenders are not any different "from us", and shouldn't be discriminated whatsoever.
The 'Shivalinga' (the film releases in Telugu on April 13) actor announced that he will allocate a portion of his earnings and save the money in a bank account, so that it can be used on the welfare of the third sex. In 'Kanchana', he effectively drew home the message that transgenders have done no crime to deserve our discrimination.
So far, the philanthropic-minded actor has funded more than a hundred surgeries, saving the lives of kids from fatal diseases.
