Raghava Lawrence is now gearing up for the release of his upcoming biggie, 'Chamdramukhi 2'. The film is a direct sequel to Superstar Rajinikanth's 2006 industry hit of the same name, directed by P Vasu. The same filmmaker has helmed the second part, which is bankrolled by Subaskaran of Kyca Productions.
This horror comedy film was originally scheduled to hit the screens in Tamil and Telugu on September 15, the Vinayagar Chathurthi weekend. Now, trusted sources tell us that Chandramukhi 2 is highly likely to get postponed to September 28th in order to have more time for post production and VFX works. An official confirmation in this regard will be made by the production house very soon.
Chandramukhi 2 stars Raghava Lawrence, Kangana Ranaut, Vadivelu, Rao Ramesh, Radhika Sarathkumar, Ravi Maria, Lakshmi Menon, Mahima Nambiar, Srushti Dange and others. The technical team comprises MM Keeravani as the music composer, RD Rajasekhar as the cinematographer, Anthony as the editor and Thota Tharrani as the art director.
It is worth mentioning that Prabhas' biggie Salaar recently backed out from the September 28 release date. Now, the weekend is filled with numerous releases that include Jayam Ravi's 'Iraivan', Vijay Antony's 'Raththam', Siddharth's 'Chiththa', Harish Kalyan's 'Parking' and Ameer's 'Uyir Thamizhukku'. Also, Ram Pothinenii's Telugu film 'Skanda' and Mammootty's Malayalam film 'Kannur Gang' are coming to cinemas on September 28. Chandramukhi 2 is the latest addition to the list.
