After keeping the media as well as the crores of fans of Superstar Rajinikanth in waiting for weeks, actress Radhika Apte has finally confirmed her presence as the lead heroine in the film to be directed by Ranjith.

Opening up about working in the yet to be titled film, the Dhoni` actress has said that she is extremely thrilled about the project as there is no one bigger than the Superstar and director Pa.Ranjith is exceptionally good.

This places the list of pan Indian actresses to have paired up with Rajinikanth after Aishwarya Rai (Enthiran), Deepika Padukone (Kochadiiyaan) and Sonakshi Sinha (Lingaa).

The shooting of the film to be produced by Kalaipuli S.Dhanu is expected to begin in the last week of August or early September. The director is said to be finalizing some locations for shooting in Malaysia and the delay in beginning the film is attributed to delay in getting the government permission to shoot in certain locations finalized by the team.
