'Radhe Shyam' Trailer: Of great love, destiny & a disaster

Can love trump destiny? That's the question. The trailer for 'Radhe Shyam', starring Prabhas as the 'Einstein of Palmistry', feels like a cosmic riddle. Writer-director Radha Krishna Kumar is out to tell a love story where the antagonist is invisible.
The dialogues are not straightforward. Prabhas' Vikramaditya turns out to be a profound lover after a series of flirtationships. Pooja Hegde's Prerana, who thinks she is a Juliet, witnesses the unfolding disaster after her love story takes unexpected turns. The last part of the 3-minute-long trailer is replete with VFX-enriched visuals.
It's telling that most of the trailer is about the lead pair. It's an out-and-out romantic story that we are in for. But the romance is also a high-stakes one, with a supernatural embellishment. The conversations are also heavy-duty and deep, thanks to the director and co-writer Jay Krishna.
With music by Justin Prabhakaran and cinematography by Manoj Paramamsa (the recreation of the Europe of a bygone era is something we have to watch out for). The cinematographer has also employed unreal engine technology for a couple of scenes. This is a first.
To be released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Chinese, Japanese on January 14 next year, the film also features Sachin Khedekar, Priyadarsi Pulikonda, Bhagyashree, Jagapathi Babu, Murli Sharma, Kunaal Roy Kapoor, Riddhi Kumar, Sasha Chettri, and Sathyan.
Produced by UV Creations and T-Series, its visual effects are by Kamal Kannan. Raveender is its production designer.
