The 'release trailer' for 'Radhe Shyam' has been described as a curtain-raiser. And the intriguing trailer lives up to the description.
Since Vikramaditya (Prabhas) is a palmist, he believes in pre-determinism. Even our thinking has been decided beforehand by forces that are not in our control, he believes. Sachin Khedekar's character is stunned by his clairvoyance. He wonders if Vikramaditya can predict a person's future by looking at his palm, and narrate his past by listening to his voice.
It seems Krishnam Raju's Paramahamsa is not the only learned Indian guru in the movie. Satyaraj, too, has a similar role. Jagapathi Babu, clad in a suit, piques Vikramaditya at one point.
Romantic shots follow in the second half of the trailer, followed further by shots that indicate the tumult in the destiny of Vikramaditya and his lover, Prerana (Pooja Hegde). The girl believes that the male lead's prediction about love will go wrong. There is a reason why 'Radhe Shyam' has been described as a story of the ultimate war between destiny and love.
Two features stand out: the visuals, and Prabhas' characterization.
The climax, whose action choreography has been done by Nick Powell, features a natural disaster. Director Radha Krishna Kumar and his technical team have truly raised expectations with the curtain-raiser.
The film, produced by UV Creations, will hit the screens on March 11.
