Sharwanand-Lavanya Tripathi's 'Radha', which will hit the screens on May 12, had a pre-release function last night in Vijayawada. The event was graced by the who's who related to the movie, besides a few guests. The lead pair, Dr. Ramesh, Dr. Rammohan Rao, Radhakrishna (MLA of Tanuku), directors Kranthi Madhav and Merlapaka Gandhi, music director Radhan, Chandra Mohan (the film's director), Kasineni Nani, Dil Raju, BVSN Prasad, Bapineedu, Alankar Prasad, Sudarshan and others made it to the event.

The theatrical trailer was released by Kasineni Nani.

Kranthi Madhav said, "I wish that Sharwanand, who has been delivering consecutive hits, has a new beginning with 'Radha'. My best wishes to debutante director Chandra Mohan, BVSN Prasad garu and Bapineedu garu".

Merlapaka Gandhi said, "Sharwanand can do any character in a genuine, entertaining fashion. He has told me about how well the debutante director has done his job. I wish that 'Radha' becomes a big hit".

Radhan said, "I am very happy to have got to work with Sharwanand garu, Lavanya, Chandra Mohan garu, BVSN Prasad garu and Bapineedu garu. My mother's name is the film's title. That's why this film is special to me".

Chandra Mohan said, "We are going to see what it will be like when a Lord Krishna becomes a cop. If that Krishna span a 'chakra', this Krisha spins lathi. I thank my family members and my guru Karunakar garu. The producers have supported me from the beginning. This film is surely going to entertain the audience".

Tanuku's MLA said, "This is a good title and the film will be yet another big hit. It's good that a production house which has brought out such films as 'Chatrapathi' with Prabhas-Rajamouli duo and 'Attarintiki Daredi' with Pawan Kalyan-Trivikram Srinivas duo is bringing this film. I hope the movie entertains with the 'leelalu' of Radha and Krishna".

Dil Raju said, "Radhan, who gave the music for 'Yevade Subrahmanyam', has composed for this movie. The music is very good. Bapineedu, BVSN Prasad's son, has taken up all the responsibilities for this movie. When Sharwanand sent me his profiles 12 years ago, I remember taking him to Teja's office. Although he has no background, he has been successful, delivering one hit after another. I hope he will score his fifth consecutive hit with this one".

Kasineni Siva said, "Vijayawada is like the 'puttinillu' for Telugu cinema. NTR garu and ANR garu are associated with this place. The range of Telugu cinema is now international. Sharwanand must be the only hero who has become this big although he has no film background".

BVSN Prasad said, "My son Bapineedu, who is this film's full-fledged producer, should succeed with 'Radha'".

Lavanya Tripathi said, "Chandra Mohan garu has handled the script very carefully. Sharwanand is the sweetest hero. I want to work with him again and again. I thank the producers for giving me this good film".

Sharwanand said, "I was born in Vijayawada. As Nani garu was saying, my grandpa Bommineni Subbarao garu started Siddharth Educational Academy. I am happy to be here in that same institution today. 'Radha' is a kind of a tribute to police. The whole family can enjoy this movie because it has both entertainment and gives a message. It's hilarious too. In a bygone yuga, Krisha was born to punish the evil and protect 'dharma'. In this age, it's the cop who does this job. Without cops, we can't even survive. I accepted the film because I liked that subject matter. Bapineedu is giving us a fine movie. Radhan has killed it with his music. Karthik's cinematography is like a backbone. Chandra Mohan will be a big-league director one day".
