Nallamalapu Bujji, one of the producers of 'Race Gurram', on Thursday took a serious exception to C Kalyan's remarks that those who have not won the Nandi awards shouldn't come out on roads.
"Some of them are talking idiotically. I would say that he (C Kalyan) should make a hit film first and then talk. Do such people know the kind of anguish one goes through when a good film doesn't get its due?" Bujji said. C Kalyan is currently making 'Jai Simha', Balayya's 102nd movie.
"The Nandi awards committee's decisions are clearly one-sided. 'Race Gurram' is one of the best films where all the 24 crafts were wonderful. When such good films are encouraged, it inspires us makers to do more and more such movies. Ivanni donga awards," he said, explicitly suggesting that the state awards have gone to those who lobbied for them.
"Why didn't Prabhas get a Nandi for 'Baahubali'? 'Manam', which is ANR garu's last film, had superb screenplay and direction. Someone said that those films which have the rebirth as a concept are not to be given the state award as per the rules. Didn't 'Eega' feature the idea of reincarnation? They will next give awards to 'Gautamiputra Satakarni'. Valla government valla ishtam," Bujji lashed out.
"Bunny doesn't know about this meet. He is shooting for his next film," the producer said.
