In a very unusual development, Malayalee film makers have suddenly started a fascination for big stars from outside Kerala, to fill the vacancies of heroines in Mollywood.

As most of the new young lady stars have migrated to Kollywood, Tollywood and Mollywood films have started paying bigger amounts to get the best of the heroines from other south Indian languages.

The movies in various stages of production will thus have names like Asin, Nayantara, Bhoomika, Namitha , Sharbani Mukherjee, Richa Pallod.

While Asin will make a comeback to Malayalam for the new movie with Dileep, Nayantara, Bhoomika, Namitha and Shabaani have already started shooting for various films like ‘Bodyguard’, ‘Bhramaram’, ‘Black Stallion’ and ‘Soofi Paranja Katha’.

It all started with the sudden withdrawal of two big heroines from Malayalam cinema, Gopika and Kavya, due to their marriages. And suddenly the filmmakers felt a need to import the big names from other languages of south.

Let's keep a good watch to know what difference these big stars will bring to the Malayalam film industry, which has already started loosing the patronage of regular young viewers.
