Raccha villain, Ajmal, sustains injuries in road accident

  • IndiaGlitz, [Wednesday,March 21 2012]

Tension prevailed in Ooty after an autorickshaw in which Ajmal and Radhika Apte (of 'Raththa Charithiram' and 'Dhoni' fame) were traveling turned turtle, as its driver lost control and slammed the vehicle on a roadside wall.

The incident took place on Monday when a crucial scene was being shot for 'Vetriselvan', a film directed by Rudhran. The actor, actress and the driver suffered minor injuries and they were rushed to hospital for first-aid and treatment.

Since the mishap happened near Charing Cross, one of the crucial joints of the hill station, a large number of residents and tourists thronged the place. As a result, tension prevailed for some time and the traffic was affected.

We were shocked and were speechless to see the autorickshaw turning upside down within seconds. A major accident was averted thanks to the roadside wall, said Rudhran, who is hoping to complete the shooting soon.

Ajmal has a meaty role in Raccha.
