Mammootty's "Rajamanikyam" and Santosh Sivan-directed "Anandabhadram" retain the top two places in the list of top five movies, while new entrant "Boyy Friennd" is a distant third this week.

The top five films are:

1. "Raajamanikyam": The last couple of years have seen few new behind-the-scene talents. Anwar Rasheed, director of this Mammootty starrer, joins the club with Blessy and Rosshan Andrrews.

2. "Anandabhadram": Prithviraj and Kavya Madhavan make a hit pair in this Santosh Sivan film. The soft corner for supernatural films in Malayali hearts is exploited well in this one.

3. "Boyy Friennd": Director Vinayan has always dared to break the stranglehold of stars. He continues the tradition by launching new face Manikuttan in this film.

4. "Chaandupottu": Writer Benny P. Nayarambalam seems to have benefited the most from the success of this film. The buzz is that producer Lal Jose has signed him to write the script of his next film starring Mammootty.

5. "Seelavathi": An offbeat film by R. Sarath, starring Kavya Madhavan and Sunil, makes the grade. This is the first film by the director to be marketed well.
