He has been providing support and help to the people affected by the floods of Cyclone Michaung in Chennai and other districts for the past few days. The actor-director strongly condemned the government in a social media post this morning.

"Good morning friends,
Yesterday, I got very emotional over the pitiful condition of the people. I am not blaming anyone in narrow-scale politics like town and district. I see from a bird's eye view. Why this plight? Not only in Chennai but also in Mumbai (the state where rich crocodiles cross the road) which has recently become an unimaginable bomb pit. As an individual, as Tamil Nadu, as the superpower(?) country, India is a self-sufficient (non-water draining) country! Can't we take a plastic boat close to Lake View apartments in Velachery to check on the flood water?

High-speed bullet train and cutting-edge technological progress. May buffalo urinate in India's future pride! Basic needs, employment opportunities, road facilities, clean air, resilient power against natural disasters and a state in which poor people can live with dignity without begging for anything.
