Superstar Shahrukh Khan has a bunch of exciting projects currently in the pipeline. Apart from his highly anticipated films like 'Pathan', 'Dunki' and 'Jawan', SRK will also be seen in a cameo appearance in the biographical drama 'Rocketry: The Nambi Effect'. Based on the life of aerospace engineer Nambi Narayanan, the film stars and is directed by R Madhavan. In a recent media interaction, the actor revealed how he managed to get Shahrukh Khan to do a cameo in his film.
Apparently, SRK was intrigued by the idea of 'Rocketry' ever since he got to know about it while working on 'Zero'. Madhavan recalled, "When I attended his birthday party, he remembered and said ‘Maddy, I want to do a role in your film. Just make me pass through the background.’ I thanked him for his kind words and he said, ‘No, no. I’m serious’."
Madhavan added, "Soon, his manager called me and said, ‘Khan sahab is asking when do you want the dates?’ I said I don’t want to build castles in the air. But he was very serious. Then, I said there is no background role for him, there was an important part."
SRK will be seen playing himself (an interviewer) in the Hindi and English versions of the film. In Tamil version, the same role will be played by superstar Suriya.
