Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan starrer 'Vikram Vedha' is one of the most anticipated Bollywood movies at the moment. Inspired by the folk tales of Vikram and Betal, 'Vikram Vedha' is the remake of a Tamil film of same name which starred R Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi in titular roles.
Madhavan, who was last seen in the biographical drama 'Rocketry: The Nambi Effect', was recently asked whether he wanted to be associated with the remake in any way. In response, the actor told ETimes, “It is very difficult for me to be a part of my own remakes. I am sure they (Hrithik and Saif) will do a brilliant job, they all are great actors and I am looking forward to seeing their interpretation of the film.”
For similar reasons, Madhavan had previously turned down an offer to star in the Tamil remake of his film '3 Idiots'. He says, "Yes, I said no to 3 Idiots remake. The reason is that I have done my role once and then it becomes very difficult to play the same thing all over again. I perform in the flow and then to analyze if I did as good as the original becomes too taxing for me.”
