MDMK general secretary Vaiko would be campaigning for DMK candidate Marudhu Ganesh in R.K. Nagar tomorrow (11th December) ahead of the by-polls to be held on 21st December.

Marudhu Ganesh has already received the support of parties such as the Congress, the VCK, the CPI-M and the CPI.  MDMK’s Vaiko announced some time back that his party would also be supporting the candidature of Marudhu Ganesh.

DMK’s working president Stalin had earlier announced that an election meeting would be held on 11th December in which Tamil Nadu Congress Committee (TNCC) president Tirunavukkarasar, CPI and CPI-M’s State Secretaries Mutharasan and Ramakrishnan, MDMK general secretary Vaiko and VCK president Thol Thirumavalavan and Muslim League’s Kathar Mohitheen besides himself would be taking part.

Speaking to newsmen in Chennai, Vaiko confirmed his participation in tomorrow’s election meeting in support of the DMK candidate. It may be recalled that Vaiko, whose MDMK was in alliance with the DMK till 2006, would be speaking at a public meeting in support of a DMK candidate for the first time in 11 years.
