With the release of its teaser and motion poster, Ranbir Kapoor's upcoming film 'Brahmastra' has again become talk of the town. This highly ambitious film is directed by Ranbir's close friend Ayan Mukerji and it is the first installment in a proposed sci-fi trilogy which can potentially be a milestone for Indian cinema.
The film has a star studded cast which includes Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna among others. Considering such an exciting cast, huge ambition and heavy VFXs, it is no wonder that 'Brahmastra' is going to be one of the most expensive films ever produced in the country. Some people have already started to compare it with Hollywood superhero movies but director Ayan Mukerji believes that his film will be vastly different than any superhero flick.
During the poster launch event of the film, Ayan said, “I know the term superhero gets used with the film a lot because it is sort of in that genre. But in my mind, it is not a superhero film. It is a fantasy adventure epic. It is a modern mythology piece. Shiva is closer to a modern representation of a deva than a western superhero. He is a normal guy who is born with certain energy within him.”
'Brahmastra' is going to release theatrically on 9th of September 2022.
