Last week suddenly a report cropped saying that the plan to remake the Bollywood blockbuster 'Queen' has been dropped. Thiagarajan (better known to Telugu audience as the father of actor Prashanth), the producer who holds the rights to remake the Kangana Ranaut starrer in all the four South Indian languages wasted no time in rubbishing the claim and asserted that the remake plans are very much and only Tamannah who was earlier supposed to play the lead role in the Tamil version has opted out of the project.
Now the first big step towards Thiagarajan's dream of seeing the film that fetched the National award for its lead actress has been taken. The Kannada version of 'Queen' has been titled as 'Butterfly' and it will be directed by Ramesh Aravind (who directed Kamal Haasan's 'Uttama Villain'). Parul Yadav will be playing the lead role in the film.
Sources reveal that the launch pooja of 'Butterfly' will take place on April 20.
