The makers of Queen have released a brand new track celebrating life and friendship -"Gujariya".
The video of the song shows Rani, played by the gorgeous Kangana Ranaut, transforming from a shy small-town damsel into an outspoken girl, ready to face the world, head on.
Rani is shown finally letting her hair down and having the time of her life with the uninhibited and outgoing Vijay Lakshmi, played by the stunning Lisa Haydon. The leggy lass makes an entry in the film as Ranis friend and confidante.
Ranis Main ek joke sunaoon dialogue, sprinkled across the video, is remarkably noteworthy and one that makes you chuckle, instantly. She discovers the joy of travelling with the new friends she makes. Rani, making new friends in a foreign land, in the movie, bears a striking real-life resemblance to Kangana coming to Mumbai, and finding people in the city she could relate to, and be herself with.
While Lisa Haydon adds the oomph factor, Rani, with her innocence, adds her desi charm, making the video of Gujariya a must watch. The lyrics have been penned by Anvita Dutt.
Vibrant with buoyant beats and the fun fusion of Hindi and English lyrics, "Gujariya" is supported by Amit Trivedis beautifully crafted music. It has robust vocal performances by Shefali Alvares and Nikhil Dsouza, which leave the listener instantly humming the tune.
Presented by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures, Queen is a Phantom Production. The Kangana Ranaut starrer is directed by Vikas Bahl, and produced by Viacom18 Motion Pictures, Vikramaditya Motwane and Anurag Kashyap. Queen is scheduled for release on February 28, 2014.
