After Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the scrapping of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 denomination notes, cinema hall chain PVR Cinemas has decided not to charge convenience fee on usage of a debit or credit card for purchase of tickets for Bollywood film 'Rock On 2'. Farhan Akhtar has welcomed the move.

Farhan took to Twitter to share the news with his fans and followers. "In response to the decomissioning of Rs 500/1000 notes, PVR Cinemas has decided not to charge the convenience fee, when you use your credit/debit card for purchasing your 'Rock On 2' tickets at PVRcinemas.com or on the PVR app," Farhan tweeted.

The 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' star also thanked the PVR team for recognising the issue ahead of the film's release. It is slated to hit the screens on Friday.

"Thank you PVR team for recognising the issue and making it easy and efficient for the audience to enjoy our film 'Rock On 2' at no extra cost," he added.

The film is the second instalment of the 'Rock On!!' franchise and also stars Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli, Prachi Desai and Shraddha Kapoor.
