‘Puthiya Thiruppangal’ that stars Nandha and Andrea Jeremiah in the lead roles is directed by Saradha Ramanathan whose ‘Sringaram’ won three National Awards. She recently met the press and spoke extensively about the film.

‘Puthiya Thiruppangal’ is about child trafficking and will in particular focus on a young 13 year old girl who is sold in the sex trade. Dharini has played this role and Andrea who plays a journalist makes use of the media to bring this problem to the masses.

Andrea and Nandha are said to have played their roles to perfection and the duo are pinning their hopes on this film to reach the next level in Tamil cinema. Newbie Rajalakshmi is the editor of this project.

“It’s not just another entertainer but has a serious take on the issue addressed”, concludes the determined director.
