'Pushpa: The Rise' has grossed about Rs 285 Cr so far, producer Naveen Erneni of Mythri Movie Makers said today at the 'Thank You' meet of the movie. Speaking on the occasion, he added that the film is expected to gross Rs 325 to Rs 350 Cr by the end of its run.
"We are expecting the momentum to continue like this till January 6, because 'RRR' will hit the screens on January 7. Till then, our film will have a good run," the producer added.
Speaking on the occasion, Allu Arjun got emotional and said that he owes his career to his grandfather, his parents for giving him birth, and to director Sukumar. "Three or four years after 'Arya' hit the screens, I bought a SUV costing Rs 85 lakh. When I laid my hands on the steering, I asked myself to whom I owe the luxury car. The image that popped up in my mind was that of Sukumar. Without him, I wouldn't be here," Bunny said, getting teary-eyed. As he completed the sentence, Sukumar, too, got emotional and cried.
On the occasion, Sukumar announced Rs 1 lakh as a gift to the unit members who have worked on the actioner.
The makers have resolved to make the second edition of 'Pushpa' on a much bigger scale. It will be released in more languages.
