'Pushpa': Sunil's evil look raises the stakes

The suspense over the look of Sunil's character in 'Pushpa' has come to an end. While it was always known that the actor is playing a negative role in the Allu Arjun-starrer, his precise look was made official on Sunday. As Mangalam Srinu, Sunil will be seen in a fearsome role. Going by his get-up and grimace in the poster, the actor has got so much up his sleeve.
Director Sukumar needs to be lauded for experimenting with the comedian at a time when he is back to playing comedy roles in movies such as 'Chitralahari' and 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo'. Last year, 'Colour Photo' cast Sunil in a negative role but it was not a mass movie unlike 'Puhpa'.
Almost the entire talkie part of 'Pushpa' is over. A song in the presence of 1000 dancers was shot recently on a set. With music by Devi Sri Prasad, the period drama has Rashmika Mandanna as the heroine. 'Pushpa' has Fahadh Faasil as an IPS officer. Its action sequences will be top-notch, a source says.
The film will hit the screens on December 17.
