The suspense over the release date of 'Pushpa' is over. The first edition of the movie, titled 'Pushpa-The Rise' will hit the screens for Christmas this year. "Pushpa - The Rise to release in five languages this Christmas," Allu Arjun tweeted on Tuesday afternoon.

This puts to rest all the juvenile speculations surrounding the movie. There was a talk that the movie will hit the screens only in Summer 2022. Mythri Movie Makers has done well to announce the date.

The first single from 'Pushpa' will be out on August 13. Like the film, its songs will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi.

Starring Rashmika Mandanna as the heroine, the film has music by Devi Sri Prasad. Sukumar's direction is expected to be top-notch. The action movie will complete its shoot soon. The talkie part is currently being shot in Hyderabad. So far, this is the only big Christmas release in Telugu. It will have a huge release in Hindi as well. Bollywood films are expected to give it a tough competition.
