It is very rare to find the losses suffered directly coming from producer. The producer or distributor in most of the cases does not reveal the losses or profits.

Recently we had seen distributor Basha of ‘Bharjari’ telling that it could be listed in Rs.50 crore club, another film maker of ‘Tiger Galli’ disclosed that it is loss of Rs.2 crores to the film.

Now we have humble and straightforward producer Pushkar Mallikarjun winning from ‘Godi Banna Sadarana Maikattu’ and ‘Kirik Party’ telling that ‘Huliraya’ film he incurred loss of Rs.37 lakhs. This film was bought for Rs.50 lakhs to distribution and Rs.42 lakhs was additional expenditure. Producer of ‘Huliraya’ was safe but not Pushkar Mallikarjun. The TV rights and Hindi rights brought the losses to Rs.37 lakhs remembers Pushkar Mallikarjun. The film failed to get good opening and multiplex the response was poor.

Such disasters would leave a feeling whether to support or not the new talents. The film ‘Huliraya’ did not get right projection and after watching this film I moved ahead for distribution recalls Pushkar Mallikarjun.

With the loss of ‘Huliraya’ all other activities would not take a back seat he assures.
