Master Akash, so far known more as Puri Jagannath's son, is slowly and gradually carving an identity for himself in the industry. As a child artiste, with a good number of films in his kitty, he is making strides in the coming months. Prakash Raj-directed Dhoni, where he is playing a crucial role, is a feather in his cap.

He says that he wants to become a hero when he grows up. Acting fascinates him so much that whenever he goes to the sets of a film directed by his father, he observes how the actors are doing their bit and not what Puri is doing.

He has his eyes firmly set on acting. So much so, he has already made up his mind to become an actor. That's why he is already training in dancing, martial arts and horse-riding.

He says that Mahesh Babu and Prabhas are his favourite heroes. He requested his father for a role, and Puri wrote a character in The Businesssman specially for him.
