Akash Puri, who is to join Kathi Mallikarjun’s next as soon as he wraps up debutant director Anil Paduri’s Romantic, which is Puri Jagannadh Touring Talkies and Puri Connects production venture, has signed another film.

We have learnt that the young actor has given his nod to Allari Naresh-starrer James Bond director Sai Kishore Macha’s second project. The subject is a sports drama. So impressed that Akash was with the content that he didn’t mind agreeing to it even before he began his second project as a lead. He believes the content has all the trappings of a typical underdog sports fare, an aspect which drove him to connect to it instantaneously.

After he completes Malli’s next, the actor will prep for the sports drama considerably before joining the sets. Macha is researching more for the story, while simultaneously fine-tuning it.
