It was on this day in 2019 that 'iSmart Shankar' hit the screens. The film gave a huge fillip to Puri Jagannadh's career. Taking to Twitter on Saturday, the 'Pokiri' director confessed that he got his energy back into his life with the success of the action thriller.

"Heartfully thank Ram Pothineni for trusting in me so much, each and every day with you was like a celebration. I can’t wait to meet you and give you a tight hug and thanking you once again," the 'Rogue' and 'ISM' director wrote.

Ram Pothineni, who headlined the blockbuster, chipped in with his own message. "Don’t think about success/failure. Don’t worry about opinions. Don’t care about anything else apart from the one thing that makes you feel ALIVE!" he added.

The 'Hyper' actor profusely thanked Nidhhi Agerwal, Nabha Natesh, Satyadev Kancharana, and, above all, Charmme. He gushed about Puri and tweeted, "My GUN!! Meeting you and watching you create 'ismart Shankar' right in front of my eyes was one of the most memorable experiences in my life. I thank you for showing me the way no one else could!
