Puri Jagannadh has announced that he and Charmee Kaur will be rendering financial help to directors/co-directors who are in financial distress. The duo have prepared a list of 30 names, who will be given a monetary help of Rs 50,000 each. In all, the Puri-Charmme duo will be giving Rs 15 lakh from their pockets.

The noble gesture of the duo has received much praise from sections of social media users.

On the work front, they are gearing up to bankroll 'Fighter', which will star Vijay Deverakonda as a boxer with a stammering problem. To be written and directed by Puri, it will go on the floors in 2020. Puri celebrates his birthday today. He is happy that 'iSmart Shankar', the film that has revived his career, has got a re-release at the box-office.
