Puratchi Thalapathy Vishal to resume directing 'Thupparivaalan 2' on this date? - Red hot updates

Puratchi Thalapathy Vishal is now acting in 'Rathnam' under director Hari's direction. The latest we hear is that the movie is in the final stage of filming and the makers are planning to bring it to the silver screens in Summer 2024. The hot buzz is that Vishal will start working on 'Thupparivalan 2' after this.
We all know that 'Thupparivaalan' is an enthralling detective thriller with Vishal, Prasanna and Vinay Rai in the lead roles and directed by Mysskin. Produced by Vishal Film Factory, the film was released in 2017 and became a huge hit. A sequel to Thupparivaalan was announced back in 2019 with Vishal and Prasanna reprising roles and Mysskin being the director.
Principal photography of Thupparivaalan 2 began in early November 2019 in Bristol and the first schedule wrapped a month later. After Mysskin and Vishal drifted apart over budget issues, the filming resumed in November 2020 with Vishal as the primary director of the film. The shooting was planned to be resumed in 2023 but now, it will be resumed in Summer 2024.
Earlier, the team roped in Rahman, Nassar, Jayaprakash, Gautami and Suresh Chakravarthi into the star cast with music by Ilaiyaraaja. Now, sources tell us that a renowned Bollywood actor is in talks to play the villain role. Thupparivaalan is most likely to resume shooting in April 2024. Anu Emmanuel, who played the female lead in the first part, won't be a part of the sequel. Debutant Ashya is said to be the female lead.
