MGR 100 - The Demigod who conquered Time

  • IndiaGlitz, [Tuesday,January 17 2017]

Every human being carries within him/her a deep need to be loved during their lifetimes and to be remembered after it. Few have achieved this in the entire world like the Puratchi Thalaivar MGR who is embedded in the hearts of the Tamil peoples lives and continues to live on transcending time itself. The party that he started is still alive because people associate it with him.

As an actor MGR brought to the screen a vibrant positivity which caught on to the audiences who always left the halls elated, upbeat and most times carrying a social message. He always promoted a healthy lifestyle through his on screen persona and was ultra careful that a single negativity did not pass through the medium. As a human being he was the word generosity personified and his heart always belonged to the underprivileged and the downtrodden who accepted him as their permanent Messiah. We Salute the Ponmanchemmal on his 100th Birthday and take pride in the knowledge that his name will continue to live on another 100 and more.
