The item girl Mumaith Khan who came from Bollywood made a mark for herself in Tollywood and changed her fortunes with the number `Ippatikinkaa Naa Vayasu.' from blockbuster movie `Pokiri'. Now, she has graduated to become an actress and that too the lead one.

Now, she is all set to come with the new movie `Punnami Nagu'. As the title suggests, this is an out and out snake movie and Mumaith will be seen as the Snakewoman. The film is being directed by the famous veteran Kodhandarami Reddy who came with many blockbuster hits and the producer of the movie is G Vijaykumar Goud. The film is being made under the banner of Sound and Claps and Mumaith is supported by Rajiv Kanakala, Suhasini, Nalini, Vinod Kumar, M S Narayana, Nizhalgal Ravi.

A special mention has also been made of Sajid Khan who is better known as the son of the legendary Bollywood villain Amjad Khan.

The film is based on a story that has been written by the famous Yandamuri Veerendranath and many years ago, megastar Chiranjeevi came up with a snake movie with the same title that became a major blockbuster.

However, the makers of the new one say that though the title is same, the story is different. Usually the snake movies are more revenge based but this time the importance is more on love and the efforts to save it.

The music for the film has been composed by S A Rajkumar and P S Babu is in charge of the camera department. Though Mumaith has been shining high with her item songs, she has not been able to make her mark as an actress so this time, it is a good chance for her to prove her skills as an actress.

As it is, the bikini song that she has done for the film has caused enough excitement among the masses and it remains to be seen how she has carried the role of a snakewoman so that her career graph can also go up.
