West Indies cricketer and Punjab Kings wicketkeeper-batsman Nicholas Pooran got married to his longtime girlfriend and fiancee Alyssa Miguel in a private ceremony held on Tuesday. Several players from across the world, including Fabian Allen, Jimmy Neesham, David Warner, Chris Jordan and Mandeep Singh, among others, congratulated the couple.
The 25-year-old batsman took to his Instagram handle to share pictures from the occasion. Nicholas Pooran had captioned the post, "Jesus has blessed me with many things in this life. None greater than having you in my life @kathrina_miguel. Welcoming Mr. and Mrs. Pooran." The batsman had announced his engagement to Alyssa late last year. "God has blessed us with a great blessing. I am glad to announce that @kathrina_miguel and I got engaged. Love you Migz.️ I got you," he had written following his engagement to Alyssa in November 2020.
Nicholas Pooran had gained fans across India following his stint in the 13th edition of Indian Premier League held at UAE. Pooran had a spectacular tournament despite Punjab Kings (KXIP then) not making it to the playoffs. With 353 runs in 14 matches, Pooran was Punjab's third-highest run-scorer in the season.
