A woman, who had spotted a hidden camera in the ladies' toilet of a posh restaurant in Pune, posted a picture of the same, along with a detailed narration of her horrible experience at the cafe.
The incident happened on November 3 at the Cafe BeHive, located in the Hinjawadi area of Pune. "So we went to this place called BeHive Cafe in Pune. We found a camera fitted inside a women's washroom. On addressing this issue to management, they asked us to wait outside and the camera was gone within 10 minutes. Complaining to management was of no use it seems because excellent staff there kept on making excuses about finding culprit and the phone camera but no efforts were made. On being repeatedly asked and ruckus been made in the cafe, the manager tried to bribe us by saying, 'What do you guys want?' The phone and the culprit dammit! Excellent support Behiveindia. This is what we deserve in respect of safety and privacy in the washroom at least. Now even such huge cafes are not safe and women inside the washrooms are being recorded. Being a girl, I will always be afraid of using public space washroom and check 100 times for any such thing," the woman's post on social media read.
Popular Bollywood actress Richa Chadha has sought police action for the same. "Behive, Hinjewadi was filming women in the ladies' toilet. This is the limit of perversion. They have to be brought to book," Richa's post on Twitter read. The Pune City police responded to her demand, stating that they would get in touch with the Pimpri Chinchwad police, who will take necessary action. "We have got in touch with @PCcityPolice to look into this as it's in there jurisdiction. They will certainly do the needful and take necessary action," their comment read.
Have deleted my previous tweet, as someone pointed out a mistake. Behive, Hinjewadi was filming women in the ladies toilet. This is the limit of perversion. They have to be brought to book. RT widely. @PuneCityPolice pic.twitter.com/sPW7lWLSYS
