In a fresh encounter that happened early today, the mastermind behind the deadly terrorist attack at Pulwama, Kashmir had been killed. Ghazi Rasheed alias Kamran, had been identified as the man who had plotted the suicide bombing that lead to the death of 40 CRPF soldiers who were returning in a convoy on February 14.

Early morning today, CRPF, 55 Rashtriya Rifles of the Indian Army and a Special team had launched an attack on the terrorists in hiding in Pulwama, by forming a barrier over the suspicious zone, and they managed to corner Ghazi Rasheed along with two more terrorists and reportedly the mastermind was shot dead in the encounter.

The operation was held after the army received information regarding terrorist presence in the area, and the fight that ensued between the soldiers and the terrorist outfit also had four soldiers and a civilian were shot dead. The incident happened in Pinglan area of Pulwama, and the search operation is reportedly on to hunt down the remaining terrorists.
