Pulwama encounter: Third terrorist killed, head constable martyred

Following the encounter that happened in the Pinglena area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district late Sunday night that led to the killing of two militants, a third terrorist of Jaish-e-Mohammed has been killed, according to recent reports. A head constable has been martyred in the encounter.
While the search operation is still on, the identities of the deceased terrorists are yet to be ascertained. The four soldiers who were earlier martyred in the encounter reportedly belonged to the 55 Rashtriya Rifles. Arms and ammunition have been recovered by the troops from the site of encounter.
After receiving a tip-off that the Jaish-e-Mohammed militants were hiding around the Pinglena village, the Rashtriya Rifles (RR), Special Operations Group (SOG) of the state police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) started a gunfire late Sunday night. The encounter is still in progress.
