Pulwama encounter: Four Army soldiers killed

In the encounter that happened in the Pinglena area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district late Sunday night, along with the two militants who were killed, four army personnel lost their lives as well.
The martyred soldiers have been identified as Major Vibhuti Shankar Dhoundiyal, Hawaldar Sheo Ram, Sepoy Hari Singh, and Sepoy Ajay Kumar. The four of them belong to the 55 Rashtriya Rifles, according to reports. An AK-47 and a pistol have been recovered by the troops from the site of encounter. The identities of the two deceased militants are yet to be ascertained.
After receiving a tip-off that the Jaish-e-Mohammed militants were hiding around the Pinglena village, the Rashtriya Rifles (RR), Special Operations Group (SOG) of the state police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) started a gunfire late Sunday night. The encounter is still in progress.
