The Court has directed Kerala police to shift Pulsar Suni, the prime accused in the actress attack case, to Viyyur prison, Thrissur, from the Kakkanad district jail following a request by Suni himself for the same. Suni had recently submitted a complaint at the Angamaly Magistrate Court that he be removed from the Kakkanad sub jail, citing that he was being assaulted in the jail.
Apparently, the situation was such that he could not even complain about the torture of the co-prisoners to the jail superintendent. The court then ordered his shifting on safety grounds and he has been reportedly shifted to Viyyur prison.
Suni had earlier hinted that he would disclose the name of the 'Madam' allegedly involved in the case while he would be produced in court. However, the police decided not to produce him in court following this. Suni's remand period has been extended to August 30th, while his bail petition will be heard on August 21.
