Hit maker Lal jose and his scribe M Sindhuraj was last seen together for the film 'Elsamma Enna  Aaankutty'. The movie had a bold girl in the title role doing all hard work to run her home housing three younger sisters and a mother.  So for the next time when they come together, why can't be the story set the opposite way?.....All  about an younger brother doing all exertion to cater to the needs of his three elder brothers who  does nothing? And for a change we can make this young lad a bit of a gutless coward. And for some more visual beauty we can change the original setting from Idukky to the backwaters of Aleppay. If this can be another mish mashed plot from the original  EEA, then it is their latest  'Pullipulikalum Aattinkuttiyum'. Everything else remains precisely the same, sprinkled all over with the Laljose aces of lighter narratives loaded with humour, fine visuals and songs..

The movie has Kunchakko Boban as Chakkalakkal Gopan, popularly known as Aadu Gopan, a tourist guide  with new generation looks who also owns an old house boat. His three elder brothers  Mani, Suku and Vijayan (Irshad, Shiju and Joju George) likes to spend most of the time boozing and dining doing nothing but thrashing people for petty reasons.  Gopan's life takes a change as an unintentional statement by him lands his rival, Kuraichan (Shammi Thilakan), into the police station and ruins the later's family life. The heroine comes up in the form of Kainakari Jayashreee (Namitha Pramod) who comes to entertain guest in the tourist boat with her classical dances.

'Pullipulikalum Aattinkuttiyum', doesn't have anything refreshing or out of the blue to offer, but is a movie set in perfect grammar of commercial success stories. With a formulaic storyline that usually works, every scenes has its share of mandatory humour lines. With Suraj Venjaaramoodu coming up as a interesting charter of 'Enthum cheyyum Mamachan', the movie doesn't suffer any lag even though it is set in 154 minutes duration.

Kunchakko boban  looks interesting  in his different looks and is quite at ease playing the coward  who is always in the run. But the attempt to make him the mighty hero in the climax with an action scene posted for him seems unwanted. With  Namitha Pramod,  he do make a lovely pair on screen. All others in the cast do justice to their roles, an area that is always perfect in Laljose films.

Cinematographer S kumar once gain comes up with tourism ads like visuals of Kuttanad, with all its splendour and greenery from high mounted jibs and crains. Vidhyasagar as usual comes up with a couple of fine melodies that is sure to help the film much for its successful Box Office performance. Ranjan Abraham is also good with his cuts, while all the songs are also impressively pictured.

'Pullipulikalum Aattinkuttiyum' may be not be a fresher stuff, but for the fans of Laljose films, there are plenty to hold on to. Prescribed for your families, for some lighter entertainment.....
